APAA Academy and Prep Students Win The Excellence in Ensemble Award at The Junior Theatre Festival
APAA Annual “ACADEMY AWARDS” Celebrates 2013-2014
Asheville, NC– The Asheville Performing Arts Academy celebrated a successful 2013-2014 year for The Academy and Prep Academy conservatory acting programs with an ‘Academy Awards’ celebration, Saturday, May 31st at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy.
Highlights from the 2017-18 Academy Awards!
The 2017-2018 Academy and Prep Academy season concluded with the annual Academy Awards ceremony on Friday, May 18th. Families and students from both programs were in attendance to celebrate the student's achievements from the past year through a dinner and show.
Prep Program performs Macbeth rendition before Halloween 2020
Designing for Prep Program's production of Macbeth began with a class investigation into what life was like in 11th Century Scotland. After unanimously agreeing that even though we would not want to live there, our costuming would reflect the period rather than setting the story closer to the present day. (We made a creative exception for the witches because Willow was committed to the use of glitter and a rainbow color palette).
